Full event will be live streamed via Red Bull TV for fans who can’t make it to Big Bay, Cape Town
Red Bull King of the Air is the extreme kiteboarding event on the annual calendar, featuring 18 of the world’s top kiteboarders. The event’s fifth edition promises to be one of the most interesting contests in the illustrious history of this extreme big-air kiteboarding contest, with Aaron Hadlow (GBR) back defending his title.
While thousands of fans will pack the beach to watch the event (it’s free to the public), Red Bull TV has got fans from all over the country – and the world – who can’t attend, covered. Red Bull TV will broadcast Red Bull King of the Air so everyone can be a spectator, from the comfort of their homes, across multiple platforms and devices. You can watch live on your laptop, or download the Red Bull TV app for iOS, Android, Windows 10, Xbox, PlayStation and Apple TV.
The waiting period for the 2017 Red Bull King of the Air opened on Saturday 21 January and closes on the 5th of February. The event is weather- and wind-dependent: a consistent south-easterly wind of over 30-knots and enough swell running from which to boost their mind-bending aerial manoeuvres.
The broadcast will go live at https://www.redbull.tv/live/AP-1QG67UGTN1W11/red-bull-king-of-the-air on Tuesday, 31 Jan 2017 from 13:30 (SAST).
